Here you can learn some basics about becoming a mentor and get instructions on how to set yourself up as a mentor.

What is a Mentor?

A mentor on the AgrowKnowledge website is someone that is willing to make their email address available to students and others intersted in a career in Agriculture, Food, & Natural Resources.

Being a Mentor

When you agree to be a mentor, your name will be listed on the Career Cluster pages in the area that best matches your occupation. Students will be able to click your name and fill out a form that sends an email to you without revealing your email to the student. From there, it is up to you to continue the dialog with the student, either with a short answer or an ongoing email discussion.

How to Become a Mentor

The only requirement for becomoing a mentor is that you are a registered user with the AgrowKnowledge website and that you indicate that you want to be a mentor. If you are not yet registered, please go through the registration process. Once you are registered and logged in, you can edit your Contact Profile by clicking the link here or by hovering your name in the upper right hand corner and chooseing the Edit My Profile option. Once you are on this form, choose the AK Info Tab and check the box marked Mentor and click the Save Changes button.
